Hello, I'm Amy, owner and trainer at Thrive. My own journey is what drives my passion to help you Thrive. I understand firsthand the challenges of postpartum depression and muscle atrophy, having experienced both when enduring 12 weeks of bedrest after giving birth to twins. It was a tough time, but it became a catalyst for my personal transformation. Determined to regain my physical strength and mental well-being, I embarked on a holistic journey that led me to become my fittest and strongest self.

As an experienced trainer with certifications including NASM Personal Trainer, Functional Movement Screen, and Eat to Perform Nutrition, I stay connected to the latest fitness trends and research. Inspired by my own struggles, my fitness philosophy revolves around your unique goals, needs, and where you are on your journey.

At Thrive, we prioritize quality movement that makes everyday life enjoyable. Together, we'll train your body to make daily activities easier and safer. Join me on this empowering journey, where we embrace the concept that there are no limits to your growth when you step out of your comfort zone. Let's transform your well-being and Thrive together!

Hey there! I'm Bessie, an energetic and enthusiastic trainer at Thrive, dedicated to making fitness accessible for all. With a background that evolved from hobby to career, I find immense joy in group fitness and witnessing the uplifting energy and community it fosters. As a personal trainer, nothing is more rewarding than witnessing my clients' progress and hearing them express improved well-being and mobility.

My fitness philosophy revolves around "moving well before moving often." By conducting quality movement screens using the Functional Movement System (FMS), I assess clients' baseline movement patterns and design personalized programs to enhance their mobility, stability, and help them achieve their unique fitness goals. By incorporating necessary mobility and stability exercises into all my programs, I love leading engaging circuit-style training that keeps participants focused and in the zone. Additionally, high-intensity interval training (HIIT) is a format I enjoy, pushing cardiovascular limits and boosting energy levels.

To keep my clients motivated and on track, I prioritize regular check-ins and genuine care for their well-being, recognizing that a holistic approach is key to long-term success. Come join me at Thrive where accessibility, personalization, and your overall well-being are at the core of our fitness journey together!

I joined Thrive in August 2016, motivated to re-prioritize my fitness as a new parent. The small group setting and attentive coach instantly appealed to me, providing the support I needed to begin my fitness journey. I not only adopted a morning workout routine during that time, which has remained consistent for the past seven years, but I also unexpectedly transitioned into a leadership role as an instructor.

In 2018, I was approached by Amy to consider becoming a coach, which excited me greatly. It was an opportunity to connect with athletes on their personal journeys and give back to the community that had helped me prioritize my well-being. As I embraced the role, I discovered my passion for improving strength, agility, and overall fitness at any stage of the journey. I view fitness as an ongoing process with dynamic goals that align with our evolving needs. Whether it's recovering from childbirth, managing injuries, or gracefully aging, I meet athletes where they are and encourage them to challenge themselves based on their body and mind's needs for the day. My goal is to foster community and support within our small group classes.

My overarching motto is "Attitude of Gratitude," which emphasizes the interconnectedness of physical and mental health. Within the small group classes, I strive to tailor exercises to each individual's goals and encourage clients to push themselves a little more and envision their "+1 experience!”
